Chicago Marathon Pt II

Confession: I didn’t run at all during Fourth of July week. So I guess there’s not much to report. BUT WAIT!

I know what you’re thinking: Oh, I’m sure it was because she was on vacation. Actually I was working! We had a work event up in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, which meant a few days of prep, a weekend of running around, and no time to run! But that’s okay. It’s sometimes really nice to get a mental reset. Especially because it was a billion degrees out last week (give or take.) I ran for the first time in over seven days today and am happy to say I haven’t lost the mojo.  It sure feels good to be back in a routine!

To make up for my lack of training, here are some gorgeous photos from New Hampshire!

Antiquing up here is the real deal

Across the way – a body of water in the Notch

Why have s’mores when you can have S’MORES PIE. It was unreal.

We had gorgeous weather all weekend, and it even dipped into the 60s and even 40s at night! It got me excited for fall, though I don’t want to wish summer away too quickly!

Thanks for reading and if you’ve never been to New Hampshire, you MUST go! The mountains are calling…
