2018 WDW Marathon Medals REVEALED!

On a random Wednesday afternoon in September, runDisney and Disney Parks Blog decided to reveal the 2018 WDW Marathon medals! I have been looking forward to this reveal for months. I will be running the WDW Marathon this January and have been training hard for what I think will be a lifechanging experience for me – it’s my first marathon!

I am so excited about these medals because it’s my first marathon, it’s the Walt Disney World Marathon, and it’s the 25th anniversary year to boot! The medals are sharp, classic, and everything I love about Disney merchandise. Check them out below:

Hi Friends!

Now that Irma is behind us, hope everyone is moving forward and rebuilding. Walt Disney World Resort is back open, though some fallen trees and signage has caused some temporary closures on attractions like Jungle Cruise and the WDW Railroad. Let’s hope the rest of hurricane season goes by quickly and with minimal damage!

This is an in-between time for runDisney races, and the next one up is the Disneyland Paris Half Marathon Weekend! Here’s the latest in runDisney news:

WDW Marathon Training : Weekly Update

Happy Sunday, everyone!

We’re another week closer to the 2018 Walt Disney World Marathon and I am getting so excited. I still need to book my airfare but my accommodations and of course, dining reservations, are ready to go!

Hi friends!

I hope everyone who traveled to Disneyland for the Disneyland Half Marathon Weekend returned home safely and had a magical trip. I’d like to try and make it out there next year! To all my Florida friends, let’s hope this hurricane goes away quickly and with minimal damage.

WDW Marathon Training : Weekly Update

From now until WDW Marathon weekend, I’d like to create a weekly training update post for a few reasons:

  1. Show my readers what training for your first full marathon looks like
  2. Use this weekly update as another way to hold myself accountable
  3. Track my progress as a way to look back on my accomplishments post-race! 🙂

I plan on being as honest as possible about the ups and downs of a training season, and what it takes to physically and mentally prepare yourself for a marathon (or try at least!) So to start…
