Time & Money Saving Tips for the 2018 Epcot International Food & Wine Festival

The 2018 Epcot International Food & Wine Festival begins today! Hooray!

My family and I first visited Walt Disney World in October 1999. Between the Millennium Celebration and all of the international food booths, I quickly fell in love with the Epcot festival atmosphere. Things certainly looked different back then!

runDisney news 8/6/2017 – 8/12/2017

Hi friends!

We’re down to the last few weeks of summer! The days are getting (subtly) shorter, but there’s still plenty of time to get that runDisney training run done in the morning or evening. Never run a runDisney race before but are interested or thinking about it? Write a comment or send me an email in my bio! I’d love to help inspire another runDisney athlete!

We’re counting down the days until the start of the new runDisney 2017-2018 season. In case you missed it, here’s the latest on runDisney news for the week of 8/6/17 through 8/12/17:

Hello again, fellow WRFD readers,

I can’t believe the Disneyland Half Marathon weekend is only 3 weeks away! I’ve had a countdown on my phone since the days remaining were in the triple digits — and finally, we’re in the home stretch!

In this post, I’m going to talk about some of the things my husband Jake and I have on our to-do list at Disneyland (and beyond)…

The Walt Disney World Resort is celebrating their 45th anniversary (2016, but you know Disney, they love to extend celebrations for over a year!) by providing Annual Passholders with a special summer dining discount: from now until September 30, you can receive a 30% discount on dinner either before 6:00 p.m. or after 8:30 p.m. at participating locations*. The standard dining discount for Annual Passholders is 20%, so you will save an additional 10% with this deal! This is a great opportunity to experience some of Disney’s finest dining establishments as a treat to celebrate the end of summer and the beginning of the fall season.

WDW Disney Dining Plan 2018 – Now Serving!

Disney Dining News Update:

Walt Disney World announced today that the 2018 Disney Dining Plan will now feature “several new beverage options” including alcoholic beverages (where available) and specialty premium non-alcoholic drinks such as hot chocolates, milkshakes, and smoothies.

The Disney community is definitely abuzz (pun intended) and for many 21+ guests, this has been a long time coming! But this of course means higher price points, whether you intend to drink alcoholic beverages or not, which may price out some families. Disney Dining plans are available to those with vacation packages staying on property at any of the Walt Disney World resorts, and traditionally have only offered juices, soft drinks, coffee and tea for the beverage selection.

My family has never personally used the Disney Dining Plan, so to my readers: Is this change a positive one or are you thinking Walt Disney himself would be horrified?

Until next time, #willrunfordisney!
