Whistle While You Work: Top 5 Magic Kingdom Music Tracks to Get You Through the Day

Lack of upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation got you down? Take a visit in your mind by listening to park music!

To get excited for my next trip, or to power through some work at my desk, I like listening to WDW tracks on YouTube. There’s nothing quite like the sweeping, emotional soundtracks Disney produces. Often taken for granted, the piped-in music throughout every inch of the resort is what separates the Disney parks from the rest. One bar of a composition puts me right in the center of the attraction!

Okay, I’ll admit. I sat down to write this post thinking I could cover the entire Walt Disney World Resort, but I only made it to Magic Kingdom. Stay tuned for the next post: Top 5 Epcot Music Tracks!

Here’s my Top 5 Magic Kingdom Music Tracks (in no particular order):

Haunted Mansion Ride Audio (WDW)

Haunted Mansion is one of my all-time favorites. If I had to pick three rides in the Magic Kingdom, I would start with Haunted Mansion (then Splash Mountain, then Pirates!) I immediately feel myself floating through the fireplace, into the haunted stretching room, and right into a Doom Buggy. Enjoy the “Swingin’ Wake!”

Like I said, second ride I’d go on if I had to choose only three! This is absolutely my happy place- or should I say, my laughin’ place. Is there anything better than Slippin’ Falls?

Space Mountain Queue: Star Tunnel/ Third Tunnel Ambient Music

This track REALLY reminds me of the WDW days of yore- when Space Mountain wasn’t so crowded and my mom and I would glide through the tunnels, back-lighted celestial posters of far off galaxies and the “windows” of stars that dance with you as you move. 3, 2, 1 Blast Off!

Wishes

While I am very excited to see and hear the “Happily Ever After” nighttime fireworks show at the Magic Kingdom, Wishes has a very special place in my heart. I can’t even tell you how many times I’ve watched Wishes, and I feel like I’ve grown up with the show. Just hearing the “Star Light, Star Bright” makes my eyes well up like nothing else.

Adventureland Area Music

Lush plant life, wooden tiki bridges, and tropical percussion: Adventureland captures the sense of, well, adventure! I can taste the dole whip now. Time to run to Pirates!

Honorable Mention: Christmas Wishes; Christmas is my all-time favorite time to visit Walt Disney World. The music on Main Street evokes memories of childhood and a sense of wonder, waiting for gingerbread men to come out of the oven and Santa Claus to come out of the chimney! There’s no place like home for the holidays!

What are your favorite music tracks in the Magic Kingdom?
