Whistle While You Work: Top 5 Epcot Music Tracks to Get You Through the Day

After a bit of a hiatus (writer’s block and a busy running schedule) I’m back with another exciting chapter of “Whistle While You Work” Walt Disney World theme music to get you through your day (or to get you through until your next visit!)

Last time I discussed Magic Kingdom music, of which there are many magical tracks. Today is all about Epcot. While Magic Kingdom is the classic favorite, Epcot REALLY reminds me of being a kid at Disney. Growing up we would visit in October during the Food and Wine festival. At that time we were also visiting during the Millennium Celebration. Boy was I sad to see that go when it was over (though many of you know Disney; the celebration practically lasted for two years.)

Without further ado, here are my Top 5 Epcot tracks to bring me right to the Park:

1. Epcot entrance music

Soon after stepping off the bus, or tram at the main gate, you will immediately here that beautiful music piped in all around. When I hear it, I know I am home. It evokes inspiration, imagination, and excitement for the promise of a new tomorrow. Back in the day, each pavilion in Future World had a theme song, and each theme is weaved into this tapestry of sound.

2. Spaceship Earth (choose your narration or opt out!)

One of my favorite attractions in Walt Disney World Resort is Spaceship Earth. The journey from the beginning of mankind through the modern era, to the future is a powerful statement recognizing man’s progress and communication efforts through time. With a sweeping score and much time to cover, it is a beautiful journey. Listen to either Dame Judi Dench or Jeremy Irons tell the story of our human progress. “See you in the future!”

3. Innoventions Loop

After an exciting trip through the progress of mankind, heading deeper into Future World comes the powerful Epcot Center Innoventions Loop. With 80s/90s flare, this music captures the spirit of my childhood like nothing else. I have very happy memories of walking around Epcot with my family to this music, and cherish it to this day. Race ya to Ellen’s Energy Adventure!

4. The Living Seas (Original)

Feeling stressed and need a breather? This is another nostalgic favorite of mine. Before Nemo and Friends we had original The Living Seas in all its glory. Listen to this music and relax to the sounds of the ocean. Ahhhh.

5. Soarin’

Is there anything more powerful and awe-inspiring than the Soarin’ music? Experiencing the Soarin’ attraction for the first time was like a breathe of fresh air. Such a unique attraction deserved a distinctly magical Disney score. I have yet to find a copy of the new Soarin’ Around the World music, but this will do just fine. [This is also likely the closest I will ever get to hang gliding.]

Bonus Track: Tapestry of Nations

I couldn’t mention it without posting! Listening to it now makes me misty-eyed. I think of myself as a wide-eyed 9-year old experiencing the glory of Walt Disney World. The fireworks used to terrify me! How many other people remember this track?

Did I miss your favorite? Let me know! Up next: Disney’s Animal Kingdom!

Until next time, #willrunfordisney!
