Whistle While You Work: Top 5 Animal Kingdom Music Tracks To Get You Through the Day

Back for the fourth and final installment of my Whistle While You Work Walt Disney World Resort music series! To finish in chronological order, today we are featuring the global, exotic, and colorful music tracks from Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

As I’ve mentioned in previous posts, I love Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Since its opening in 1997, Animal Kingdom has evolved with the adaptation of nighttime shows, more exciting dining options and of course, Pandora: The World of Avatar, which I cannot wait to see this fall!

With all of the changes Animal Kingdom has endured one thing remains clear: Animal Kingdom’s mission to inspire and educate its visitors on the importance of conservation and protecting the natural habitats of animals all over the planet. Animal Kingdom’s ability to introduce us to these inhabitants is a feature which makes the park so special.

I also enjoy learning about the ways in which Imagineers worked with the expert craftsmen of Asia, Africa and South America to build the different pavilions and experiences around the park! The next time you’re in Animal Kingdom, take some time to really soak in the details. You never know what you might find! In honor of all the people and animals who have contributed to the beauty of Animal Kingdom, what better way to celebrate these cultures than with music?

Here are my Top 5 Animal Kingdom Music Tracks to Get You Through The Day:

  1. Entrance Music/Oasis

Ahh, what a great start to start the day! When I hear this music as I walk into Animal Kingdom, I know I am going to have a day of exploration ahead of me. What will today’s Kilimanjaro Safari entail? What animals will I see? How many times am I going to ride Expedition: Everest and scream when I see the Yeti? This music is peaceful and full of promise. I love listening to this at my desk to power through a project.

  2. Tree of Life

Another incredible track! I love rounding the corner from the Oasis and seeing the Tree of Life. It is a staggering sight to behold for the first time- and the hundredth time! From far away, the tree appears old, craggy and full of wisdom. Upon closer viewing there are over 300 animals carved in the tree! Venture into Discovery Island and explore the Discovery Island Trails for best viewing, and even better, catch a “3-D Flik” and walk right into the roots of the tree for the “It’s Tough to Be A Bug!” 3-D show.

  3. Hapa Duniani

Who remembers hearing this music in the Disney resort buses just before arrival? They also play this song during the Kilimanjaro Safaris tour as you travel through the savanna. The lyrics are actually The Lord’s Prayer in Swahili. So beautiful. This music brings me RIGHT to Animal Kingdom in my mind!

  4. Flame Tree Barbecue

I just love the use of didgeridoo in this music. I can smell the barbecue now! Flame Tree Barbecue is loved by many for it’s tasty barbecue, large portions and quiet seating areas along the river. Walk by and you’ll hear this track!

  5. Theater in the Wild

This is a nice, long track also great work being productive at work! It’s cinematic, exotic and fun. It definitely has a ’90s vibe to it too, which of course I love. After screaming my lungs out from Expedition Everest, this music has a calming effect as we walk by to DinoLand, U.S.A.

You really can’t go wrong with any Animal Kingdom music tracks you may find on YouTube. Keep exploring, friends!

Until next time, #willrunfordisney!
